When can I expect to receive my bill?

Nodak Electric Cooperative will read all meters on or about the last day of each month and produce a bill on approximately the 7th of the following month, which will be available through SmartHub the same day or up to one week by U.S. mail.

When is my bill due?

Your bill is due upon receipt and is considered past due by the 25th of the month.

Is there a penalty charge for unpaid bills?

A 1% per month interest charge will be assessed on any unpaid billing balance after the 25th of the month.

What happens if I cannot pay my bill when it is due?

Call Nodak and ask to speak with a member service representative who will assist you in setting up a payment arrangement.

How will I be notified of impending disconnect for non-payment?

If your account is subject for disconnection, you will receive a notification by U.S. mail of the earliest disconnect date if payment is not received at Nodak’s office by a specific day and hour. If you do not call us and make an acceptable payment arrangement with one of our member service representatives, or if you fail to follow through with a mutually agreed upon payment arrangement with us, your account can be disconnected without further notice. If your account is disconnected for non-payment, the entire unpaid balance is due, including all late fees, collection and reconnection charges, before the account is reconnected.

What forms of payment do you accept?

Nodak accepts payments by cash, check, money orders, Visa and MasterCard.

Where can I pay my bill?

Members with internet access may make an online payment through SmartHub (formerly E-Bill) or pay using their phone through Pay-by-Phone by dialing 1-844-846-2690.  Your payment can be sent to Nodak by U.S. mail, placed in an after-hours drop box or paid in person at the Grand Forks office.

Is there an automatic payment method?

Nodak offers automatic payment through an AutoPay Program. Nodak will withdraw your billed amount from your bank account on the 25th of each month.
