Nodak Electric Cooperative is partnering with the North Dakota Association of Rural Electric Cooperatives (NDAREC) and the North Dakota Energy Education Program—formerly the T4 Program (Tools, Trades, Torque & Tech)—to once again host the Lineworker and Electrician Camp, taking place May 31–June 5 in Bismarck/Mandan. This program is made possible through financial support from the North Dakota State Energy Program grant.

The camp offers hands-on training and real-world experiences for students interested in linework or electrical careers. Course topics include AC/DC theory, circuit design, pole climbing, power line fabrication, equipment simulators, safety, troubleshooting, and much more!

Participating students may be eligible to receive school credit. All costs—including training, room, and board—are fully covered through the State Energy Program, program sponsors, the North Dakota Energy Education Program, and NDAREC.

Program Dates – May 31 - June 5

Eligibility – High School Sophomore, Junior, or Senior

Cooperative Students Priority Application Deadline – March 20

Program Cost – FREE, thanks to the State Energy Program, the North Dakota Energy Education Program, NDAREC, and other sponsors.

Registration – Students must connect with their school counselor and complete a pre‑application by visiting the 2026 Electrical Lineworkers Summer Camp and selecting the “Additional Educational Opportunities” by March 20.

Transportation – Students must have their own transportation to and from the program. 

High School Class Credit – Students must connect with their school counselor. The information the school needs is: registration code MISO3# 17999. Class credits - ¼ to ½ elective high school credit via Bismarck Public Schools Career Academy (subject to change).
